Janet S. Wong is an accomplished executive including a 30-plus year history of demonstrated business leadership in professional services. Currently, she is an independent board director with strong governance experience and recognition as a qualified Financial Expert by the Securities and Exchange Commission, the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq. She serves on the boards of Lucid Group (Nasdaq: LCID), a sustainable mobility company producing luxury electric vehicles and electric powertrain systems and TWFG (Nasdaq: TWFG), a leading national insurance company. She has prior public company board experience serving Lumentum, a high-technology manufacturer of optical and photonic products for a variety of applications including telecommunications, data centers and advanced manufacturing; Enviva, a global energy company manufacturing sustainable wood bioenergy; and Allegiance Bancshares, a regional financial services company. In April 2022, the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) named her to its 2022 Directorship 100™, an annual honor for leading directors and governance professionals. In May 2023, Board Prospects recognized her as one of the Top 30 Asian American Board Directors in the U.S. In June 2024, Directors & Boards magazine named her to its annual Women Public Company Directors to Watch list in recognition of her board governance and leadership experience. She is an established thought leader and frequent speaker on current issues including corporate board governance, financial reporting, risk management including cybersecurity and AI, and leadership development.
She served as a senior partner with KPMG, a global professional services organization, where she spent most of her career based in the San Francisco and Silicon Valley offices providing her industry experience in consumer products, energy, financial services, manufacturing and technology.
Janet also has a strong record of governance experience with professional and non-profit organizations including current and past board roles with the Louisiana Tech University Foundation, the TriCities Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors, the Computer History Museum and The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.
Janet is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and a NACD Certified® Director. She earned her Master of Professional Accountancy from Louisiana Tech University and Master of Taxation from Golden Gate University. Janet completed the Corporate Director Certificate Program through the Executive Education Program at Harvard Business School as well as Executive Education at Stanford Law School. In addition, she holds a Certificate in Cyber-Risk Oversight from Carnegie Mellon University.
