Under the auspices of C100’s Educational Exchange program, the Committee served as a Strategic Partner with Columbia Business School and Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business to host the Third Annual Global Business Strategy: China Forum (GBSCF) at Columbia University’s Low Library in New York City on August 10. The Forum engages executives to explore opportunities, strategies, and perspectives necessary to be successful in the U.S. and China markets. It featured two keynote addresses and two panel discussions with an estimated attendance of 200 chief executives from China and the United States.
Seth Pinsky, President of the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), gave the Forum’s policy keynote address. Pinsky focused on the infrastructure of cities as cornerstones in sustaining world-class cities like Beijing and New York.
The Forum’s business keynote speaker, Werner Geissler, Vice Chairman of Global Operations at the Procter & Gamble Company, mapped out the essentials of managing the economic downturn with a confident outlook.

The Forum included two panels, “Managing through the Downturn” and “Consumer Market: Opportunities and Challenges in the East and the West.” Notable panel speakers were: Jack Perkowski, Founder and Managing Partner of JFP Holdings; Marco Mattiaacci, President and CEO of Ferrari North America; and Xuanning Zhang, President, and Director of Yonghui Superstores Co., Ltd.
