Norman C.T. Liu is the former Chairman and CEO of GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), one of the world's leading aviation financing firms
Liu graduated from Yale in 1979 and received an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1982. He spent 5 years in investment banking and then 30 years at GE Capital based in New York, London and Singapore. For 13 years, he focused on infrastructure/property finance and M&A/leveraged buyouts. During this period, Liu served briefly as a Managing Director at Kidder Peabody and a member of the Management Committee. He then served at GECAS for 22 years as Executive Vice President for 14 years, then as Chairman, President and CEO for 8 years retiring at the end of 2016. He was an Advanced Leadership Fellow at Harvard University during 2017.
Liu currently serves as a Senior Advisor to Global Infrastructure Partners, a leading private equity firm investing in infrastructure, and a Senior Advisor to
ICBC Leasing, CHina's leading leasing firm and a part of ICBC Group. He is also an Adjunct Professor at University College Dublin's graduate business school in Ireland.
