Since its inception, Committee of 100 has consistently led annual delegations from the U.S. to meet with top political and business leaders in Beijing, Hong Kong, and Taipei. The first diplomatic trip, led by I.M. Pei, met with President Jiang Zemin to discuss China’s development and American perceptions of China. As China ascends in global significance, alongside the U.S. as a superpower, Committee of 100 continues to play a unique and rare bridge-building role as an influential community that is both 100% American and 100% Chinese.
