As we celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month this May, it’s time to shine a spotlight on the often overlooked but crucial role of AAPI caregivers. Co-hosted by , AAPI Caregiver Appreciation Day is a heartfelt tribute to those who exemplify compassion, resilience, and selflessness in their daily lives as caregivers for family members and loved ones.
This event served as a platform for knowledge exchange and community support, bringing together representatives from various sectors. As part of the event, Committee of 100 presented the recently announced “AAPI Hate Tracker” (co-developed with TAAF) to help in the reporting of hate incidents in the New York area. Attendees gained access to a wealth of resources and support networks, fostering a sense of solidarity and empowerment. In addition to informative sessions, attendees enjoyed traditional dance performances, giveaways, light meals, and raffle prizes.

長久以來，亞太裔社區以其重視家庭、傳統孝道的文化而聞名。大多数亞太裔一生都兼顧著家庭照顧者的角色，在日常生活和工作中都展現出同情心、韌性和無私。然而，亞太裔照顧者往往未得到應有的支持與認可。尤其是在新冠大流行之後，他們面臨著更多的挑戰和困境，包括社會和種族偏見以及心理壓力等。
為此，在五月亞太裔傳統月之際，大學睦鄰之家、百人會和美亞共同促進會聯合舉辦亞太裔照顧者感謝日活動，旨在認可亞太裔照顧者的價值，提供必要的社區資源、實用的幫助和支持。

- 地點：大學睦鄰之家豪斯頓社區中心 (紐約曼哈頓包厘街273號)
屆時，來自社區不同領域的機構代表將共同參與此次活動，提供社區實用資源。百人會將為現場民眾介紹「亞太裔仇恨事件上報系統」，並講解上報仇恨事件對於亞裔社區的重要性。此外，現場還有精彩傳統舞蹈表演以及精美禮品贈送給到場的民眾，同時還有簡易餐飲、禮品和幸運大抽獎。
