In-Person Event

AAPI Caregiver Appreciation Day

About the Event

As we celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month this May, it’s time to shine a spotlight on the often overlooked but crucial role of AAPI caregivers. Co-hosted by Committee of 100, University Settlement, and Empowerment of American Asians, AAPI Caregiver Appreciation Day is a heartfelt tribute to those who exemplify compassion, resilience, and selflessness in their daily lives as caregivers for family members and loved ones.

This event served as a platform for knowledge exchange and community support, bringing together representatives from various sectors. As part of the event, Committee of 100 presented the recently announced AAPI Hate Tracker” (co-developed with TAAF) to help in the reporting of hate incidents in the New York area. Attendees gained access to a wealth of resources and support networks, fostering a sense of solidarity and empowerment. In addition to informative sessions, attendees enjoyed traditional dance performances, giveaways, light meals, and raffle prizes.

Please note, this event and the AAPI Hate Tracker presentation will be conducted in Chinese.
