The Committee of 100 is pleased to officially welcome Ms. Ginger Lew to our membership. Ms. Lew is based in Washington D.C., currently serving as CEO of Three Oaks Investments LLC, a consulting firm that provides value added counsel to start up companies.

From 2009 to 2011, Ms. Lew served as Senior Counselor to the White House National Economic Council, where she provided economic policy advice on a broad range of matters, including innovation, commercialization, small business, capital access and formation, and entrepreneurship policies.  Ms. Lew chaired the White House Regional Innovation Clusters Group which focused on high growth opportunities created through the integration of innovation, industry specialization and geographic proximity. She also co-chaired the White House Interagency Group on Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Under the Clinton Administration, Ms. Lew was the Deputy Administrator and Chief Operating Officer of the U.S. Small Business Administration where she provided day to day management and operational oversight of a $42 billion loan portfolio. Before joining SBA, Ms. Lew served as General Counsel to the U.S. Department of Commerce where she specialized in international trade issues, and prior to that, Ms. Lew was the Chief Counsel for the U.S. Department of Energy for the western United States.

From 1998 to 2009, Ms. Lew was active in venture capital, as the CEO of TDF, a communications venture fund, and as a venture advisor to Amplifier Venture Partners. During this time, Ms. Lew was the Chairman and board member of an investment fund based in Europe. She also was a member and co-chair of the NASDAQ Listing Council. She has served on the boards of publicly traded companies, private companies and not for profit organizations. In 2011, Ms. Lew was appointed by Secretary Clinton to serve on the Board of Governors of the East West Center. She was also appointed by the National Academies of Science to serve as an expert advisor on advanced manufacturing policies.
