Statement from Committee of 100 on the Bombing Attacks in Afghanistan and the Deaths of U.S. Servicemen and Women

New York, NY (August 27, 2021) — The following statement was issued today by Zheng Yu Huang, President of Committee of 100, regarding the bombing attacks in Afghanistan and the deaths of U.S. servicemen and women: 

“On behalf of Committee of 100, we send our heartfelt condolences to the brave U.S. military men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in safeguarding the lives of Americans and allies in Afghanistan. Chinese Americans have long been part of the U.S. military, and regardless of race, creed, or religion, we feel and share the pain and sorrow of those families impacted. Our hearts go out to all Americans impacted by this horrific act of hate.”
