Leading Chinese American Organization Committee of 100 to Discuss Asian Americans in Philanthropy
(San Francisco – February 27, 2014) – The Committee of 100 (C-100), an organization of leading Chinese Americans, held its third C-100 Speakers Forum on February 27, 2014 in San Francisco.
Speakers identified Asian American philanthropy trends, explored the role of Silicon Valley philanthropic leaders, and assessed the outlook of community-based and globally-focused impact investing. Panelists included Steve Chen, Co-Founder of YouTube; Jenny Ming, President and CEO, Charlotte Russe; Audrey Yamamoto, President and Executive Director, Asian Pacific Fund; and Dien Yuen, Founder and Managing Director, Kordant Philanthropy Advisors.
Chairman of the Committee of 100 Dominic Ng said: “Asian Americans are emerging as influential leaders in philanthropy. The Committee of 100 Speakers Forum serves as a high-level platform to highlight major issues in U.S.-China relations and the Asian American community. Conducted in C-100’s five main regions – Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Washington, D.C., and Greater China – the forum addresses national and international issues that impact local and regional communities.
The Committee of 100 is a leadership organization of prominent Chinese Americans in business, government, academia, and the arts.
